How to care for your hair in winter

Now that the days are getting colder, it's a good time to review our hair care ritual, ensuring our hair is hydrated, soft, and full of shine.

Our hair ritual

1. Prepare your hair

Before washing, brush your hair . This not only helps remove tangles and residue from styling products and pollution, but it also improves oil distribution. It distributes oil evenly from roots to ends, achieving a better clean when shampooing.

    2. Apply your shampoo

Wet your hair thoroughly with warm water, then apply your shampoo by massaging it into your scalp, focusing on the nape of your neck and sides , allowing the rest of your hair to cleanse as the product glides through.

There are days when we're in a hurry, but it's very important to wash your hair well, even double-washing it. The first wash will remove all traces of dirt and buildup, while the second will penetrate deeper into the roots and deeply cleanse your hair.

And don't forget to condition it . Use a daily conditioner and a mask once a week for extra hydration. Just leave it for the right amount of time, and use those minutes to wash your body . ;)

As a tip, you can comb your hair when applying your conditioner or mask with a special brush for wet hair, such as the iBlend brush; the results will be much better.

    3. Dry it carefully

First, dry with a towel, without rubbing . Drying should be very gentle. The hair fiber is most swollen at this point and is most vulnerable.

Then you can use a hairdryer . Today, there are smart hairdryers like Dyson 's that control the temperature at which the air is released to minimize damage to your hair.

    4. Take care of your tips

If you want double hydration for your ends, our advice is to apply conditioner before washing, or an oil and/or serum after drying your hair to further soften the lengths and ends.

    5. Protect it from solar radiation and pollution

Protect your hair from radiation and pollution just like you do your face. Solar radiation and airborne pollutants adhere to the scalp and hair, damaging its protective layer . This leads to an irritated scalp, weakened hair, a more even feeling of dirt, and a lack of shine.

Recovery involves brushing to activate microcirculation and remove residue, and frequent washing with shampoos containing gentle cleansing agents and active ingredients that cleanse while respecting the hair's protective layer, the cuticle.

Our shampoos are suitable for washing your hair every day if necessary, as they contain a selection of ingredients with a high percentage of natural ingredients that cleanse and care for your scalp and hair so they look their best.

    6. Accessories yes, but...

Hair accessories are always a good idea; they'll add that chic touch that will complement your everyday look. But don't wear accessories that are too tight or too tight, and never on wet hair , as this can weaken and even damage your hair.

    7. Eat well

To achieve beautiful, soft, and strong hair, it's not enough to simply use cosmetics that protect and repair it from the external factors (sun, pollution, etc.) and internal factors (aging) that affect it daily. Adopting a varied, nutrient-balanced, and energy-efficient diet , in addition to a healthy lifestyle, is key to achieving great hair.

    8. Control stress

Fortunately, women are less prone to hair loss than men, but stress can cause hair loss. This causes a change in cortisol levels, causing the follicles to enter the shedding phase sooner.

Therefore, in addition to good nutrition, good rest and stress management are important .
