In the era of food supplements, this is how we formulate Hair Boost: science, discernment, and true care from within

We live in the golden age of food supplements

The global wellness market is growing unstoppably. Shelves, both physical and digital, are filled with capsules, gummies, and powders that promise energy, better digestion, relaxation... and, of course, stronger, healthier hair. In such a broad context, not all supplements are designed with the same scientific rigor or under comparable quality standards; for the consumer, distinguishing the best options is not easy.

Hair Boost, a different food supplement

From the beginning, we designed Hair Boost in response to 2025 health and beauty trends in supplementation, and with a clear premise:

A food supplement does not replace a balanced diet nor is it a magic solution. But well-formulated, it can support scalp care and hair quality

Hair Boost is born as part of an integral "inside out" routine that combines nutritional science and hair cosmetics

  • From the inside, with safe nutrients and active ingredients that are clinically evaluated.
  • From the outside, with effective topical formulas that are skin-friendly.

What do we address?

The most common factors of hair weakening: chronic stress, hormonal changes, restrictive diets, aging, and environmental exposure (UV radiation, pollution...). Hair Boost is not an isolated product: it is an essential piece of a conscious self-care ritual, aimed at strengthening hair from all angles.

A comprehensive hair formula: 13 active ingredients, 4 patented

We combine plant extracts, micronutrients, amino acids, and antioxidants with functional synergy to care for hair from within. Four of its active ingredients are international patents with clinical studies in humans:

    1. AnaGain™ Nu (pea extract). It supports the follicular microenvironment and the balance of the anagen-telogen cycle. Oral studies observed less hair loss and improved perceived density after weeks of use.
    2. Cynatine® HNS (bioavailable keratin). Soluble and highly absorbable keratin. In trials (at doses higher than this formula's), improvements were observed in hair parameters (shine, strength, and anagen/telogen balance). In Hair Boost, it acts as a structural adjuvant for the fiber.
    3. Sensoril® (standardized ashwagandha). Adaptogen with evidence in stress modulation and sleep quality. Useful as systemic support when stress is a factor in hair balance.
    4. AstaReal® (natural astaxanthin). Antioxidant with skin trials (2–6 mg/day; ≥6–12 weeks) describing improvements in elasticity, hydration, and TEWL. In hair, it is reported as an antioxidant support for the follicular microenvironment.

Hair Boost does not saturate: it complements

Compared to formulas with megadoses or ingredients with limited or misapplied evidence, Hair Boost relies on clinically evaluated active ingredients in safe or well-justified doses:

    • Doses aligned with physiology and good tolerance.
    • A formula that complements, not replaces, the diet.
    • Ingredients with traceability, stability, and technical support.

What does Hair Boost not contain and why?

In a market where many products include ingredients just to "be able to promise more," our criterion is to formulate with what is necessary

Therefore, Hair Boost does not contain biotin as an isolated ingredient, because:

    • Population deficiency is rare (EFSA data).
    • Megadoses in healthy people are not clinically justified.
High doses can interfere with tests (e.g., thyroid or cardiac) and have been associated with acne breakouts in predisposed skin.

Instead, hair maintenance under normal conditions is supported by zinc and selenium (EU claims). The fiber structure is sustained with L-cystine, vitamin B6, and MSM, in synergy with silicon from bamboo extract.

"Hair Boost has been formulated with precision and responsibility, to enrich your hair routine from within, without oversaturating the body or creating false expectations." Modesta Cassinello, Doctor of Pharmacy and founder

    European regulation and responsible communication

The medicalization of well-being and the tendency to turn medicine into a lifestyle have blurred the lines between information, marketing, and evidence. In this context, where some proposals look like medicines and others use clinical language without solid backing, our position is clear: clarity, rigor, and respect for the regulatory framework.

At Modesta Cassinello, we work within the EU framework, applying safety, traceability, and responsible communication. Our formulation respects Regulation (EC) 1924/2006 on nutrition and health claims and selects ingredients for their efficacy and tolerance profile. Where appropriate, we use authorized health claims and always linked to their nutrient:

    • Zinc and selenium: contribute to the maintenance of normal hair.
    • Vitamin C: contributes to normal collagen formation.
    • Vitamin E and selenium: help protect cells from oxidative damage.
    • Vitamin B6: contributes to normal cysteine synthesis and the regulation of hormonal activity.
    • Copper: contributes to normal hair pigmentation.

We formulate with scientific rigor, legal respect, and commitment to those who trust us.

    Our purpose

Hair Boost is not a miracle. It is a food supplement designed with criteria and a comprehensive approach. It provides active ingredients that act from within, respecting physiology and with a firm commitment to transparency

Caring for your hair also means caring for your overall well-being. Doing so with knowledge, rigor, and transparency is part of our commitment.

    FAQs

    Does it contain biotin?

No. For the reasons explained (rare deficiency, analytical interferences, possible acne in predisposition). We opt for alternative active ingredients with clinical evidence.

Why is it important for a supplement to have clinical studies?

Because not all ingredients used in food supplements have the same quality of evidence, nor the same behavior in the body.

In Hair Boost, we select active ingredients that have been evaluated in human clinical studies, at doses equivalent to those in our formula, and that have demonstrated efficacy on factors such as hair growth, oxidative stress, or scalp balance.

In addition, we choose ingredients with:

    • High bioavailability, meaning they can be absorbed and effectively used by the body.
    • Guaranteed stability, so that they maintain their activity throughout the product's shelf life.
    • Traceability and controlled cultivation, which allows us to guarantee consistent quality, absence of contaminants, and respect for the botanical or mineral origin of each active ingredient.
    • The science behind an ingredient depends not only on its name, but on how it is obtained, standardized, and combined with others. And that, in Hair Boost, we take care of in detail.

Does it replace a balanced diet?

No. It complements. We avoid megadoses and unnecessary duplications.

Suitable for sensitive or acne-prone skin?

Yes. The absence of biotin in high doses and the antioxidant/adaptogenic approach improve its suitability for this profile.

Can I combine it with other supplements?

It depends on the composition. We recommend checking for duplications in vitamins/minerals/adaptogens. If in doubt, consult a trusted healthcare professional or write to us at hola@modestacassinello.com

How long should I take it?

More than 3 months to start seeing changes, because that's how long it takes for the follicle to respond visibly. Ideally 3-6 months, although the formula is designed for prolonged use thanks to its good tolerance. You can maintain it as part of your long-term hair care routine.

Does Hair Boost have any EFSA authorized claims?

Yes, those associated with zinc, selenium, vitamin C/E, B6, and copper (see above). Each claim is communicated only with its nutrient.

    Where is Hair Boost manufactured?

In Spain, under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) quality standards and following current European regulations on food supplements.
