How to properly clean your hairbrush

To get the best results when brushing your hair , it is very important that you clean your brushes and/or combs regularly.

The brush and/or comb is a beauty tool we use every day. This beauty tool distributes our hair's natural oils and any finishing product we use (hairspray, mousse, etc.).

Over time, these "debris" accumulate on our brushes and/or combs along with strands of natural hair , dirtying our hair if not removed frequently. Hence the importance of cleaning this tool.

Steps to clean your brush

Step 1: Remove hair and dirt

It is essential to remove any strands or dirt that have accumulated on your brush and/or comb.

You can do this with your fingers or more easily with tools that help you perform this tedious task, such as the Olivia Garden Brush Cleaner .

This tool is perfect for removing hair and deeper dirt from your brush and/or comb. It's also:

  • Recycled nylon from fishing nets.
  • Eco-friendly.
  • Antistatic.
  • Take care of your brushes without scratching them.
  • Increases the life of brushes.

Step 2: Wash with soap and water

The most effective way to keep your brush and/or comb spotless is to wash it with a little soap and warm water using your hand or a glove. You can also wash it with equal parts vinegar and water.

If you see particles stuck, try gently scrubbing with a small brush (like a toothbrush).

To prevent damage to wooden brushes, we recommend cleaning them upside down so that the water only touches the bristles and rubber.

In the case of the brushes available on our website, such as the Fingerbrush Combo or iBlend , you can submerge them underwater without any problem.

Step 3: Rinse

Once you have thoroughly cleaned your brush and/or comb, rinse the bristles with water and allow the brush to air dry .

It's important, especially with brushes, to remove all the water. Sometimes it accumulates inside.

With these simple steps, you'll have a new toothbrush every day!
