Secrets to a nighttime care ritual that will revitalize your hair
We invest a lot of time and effort in a nighttime skincare ritual, but what about hair? Who doesn't want to go to bed and wake up with beautiful hair?
Today, we asked our founder Modesta about her hair care routine to wake up with softer, looser, more beautiful hair. These routines will not only improve the beauty of your hair but also contribute to scalp health.
Nighttime hair care
1. I gently brush my hair, removing any tangles that may have occurred during the day. I also gently massage my scalp with my fingers, which are perfect massage tools to release accumulated tension.
2. When I cleanse my face, I move the hair near my forehead and temples back to prevent cleansers or creams I apply to my face from getting on my hair.
3. If I have washed my hair at night, I always dry it thoroughly before going to sleep. Leaving it damp for too long can cause fragility, as well as itching and irritation.
4. I apply a few drops of H10 Sublime Oil to the mid-lengths and ends before bed. This reduces friction between my hair and the pillow and keeps the drier areas moisturized.
Its innovative selection of Mediterranean oils, with an elegant feel, light application, and quick absorption, can soften, boost shine, and protect overnight, helping you wake up with more beautiful hair. Applying a few well-distributed drops to your hair can make all the difference.
5. I use a silk pillowcase, which I change regularly. Sleeping on a silk pillowcase creates less friction and can prevent tangles, split ends, and even breakage. Additionally, since silk absorbs less moisture than cotton, it can also reduce dryness.
Silk is also a material that can maintain temperature and, in some ways, can make hair more comfortable during moments of sweating at night.
Although sleeping on a silk pillowcase is not a magic solution to beautify your hair, I do consider it an easy step to incorporate into your care routine.
6. I remove any hairpins or elastic bands that could press on my hair and break it while sleeping. If you wish to tie it back, we recommend using a braid or a silk scrunchie to prevent easy breakage.
A nighttime hair care ritual, just like with skin, not only keeps your hair more beautiful but also healthier. Nighttime hair care before bed can make a significant difference.
"These moments of relaxation and self-care during the day contribute to our well-being." Modesta
